About Pendants & Chandeliers
A pendant does two jobs at once: it lights the surface below it and it sets the tone of the whole room. Our pendants are chosen for both, with shades that soften the bulb and throw warm light where you need it.
Over a kitchen island or a dining table, a run of two or three smaller pendants spreads light evenly along the length of the surface, while a single larger shade or a chandelier makes a centrepiece over a round table or in a stairwell. As a starting point, many designers hang pendants about 30 to 36 inches above a counter or table, and leave around 7 feet of clearance where people walk underneath.
Every listing shows the fixture switched on in a room setting, so you can judge its glow before you order. Pendants and chandeliers are hardwired fixtures, so we recommend installation by a licensed electrician. Every order ships free, and you have 30 days to return it.
