About This Light
Asagao takes its name from the morning glory: a small glass shade that flares open like a flower around a bare filament bulb. The Clear, Amber, White and Smoke Grey shades have a scalloped, pleated rim; the Green is ribbed, ruffled at the edge and a little wider. Hung on a twisted cord from a brass-tone socket, it gives a warm, vintage glow over a breakfast table, a bedside, a desk or an entryway console.

Asagao flares open around a bare filament bulb like the flower it is named after, so the glass glows and the bulb hangs just below the rim. Over a breakfast table, a bedside, a desk or an entryway console it gives a warm, vintage glow.

The Green shade is ribbed from crown to rim and ruffled at the edge; Clear, Amber, frosted White and Smoke Grey have a pleated, scalloped rim instead. A brass-coloured socket and a twisted fabric cord give it an old-fashioned finish.

Turn it on and off with the knob on the socket. The cord adjusts up to 200 cm (79 in), so it can hang low by a bed or high in an entry, and a 4W LED filament bulb is included. It is hardwired to a ceiling box, so we recommend a licensed electrician.
