About This Light
Furiko is named for the pendulum, and it hangs like one at rest: a small round wall plate, a short arm that turns straight down into a fine rod, a slim cylindrical grip, and a frosted white glass globe weighted at the very end. With a warm white bulb inside, the globe becomes a soft, even orb of light set low beside you, falling on the nightstand, the open page or the arm of a sofa while the rest of the room stays quiet.
Because the light hangs well below the plate, Furiko does the work of a bedside pendant without needing a ceiling point to hang one from. Mount one beside a reading chair, or one on each side of a headboard. Black draws a crisp, graphic line against pale plaster; the brass-tone finish warms toward the frosted glass. The black finish is also offered as a set of two.

A slim rod and a cylindrical grip carry the 15 cm (5.9 in) frosted glass globe, so the metalwork reads as one fine line above a soft orb. The iron frame comes in black, which draws a crisp line against pale plaster, or a brass-tone finish that warms toward the glass.

Clears the nightstand
Because Furiko is fixed to the wall, the bedside needs no lamp base, so even a narrow shelf can serve as a nightstand. A qualified electrician fits it, there is no switch on the fixture itself, and the glass and metal wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth once the bulb has cooled.
