About This Light
Hanabi takes its name from summer fireworks, and from below it reads like one caught mid-burst: three slim tubular bars cross in an offset pinwheel beneath a small round canopy, and each of their six ends holds a bare bulb. Fitted with warm globe bulbs, it scatters six soft points of light across the ceiling and lays an open, even glow over a dining table, a bed or a living-room rug.
At 27.6 inches across and only 7.9 inches deep, it gives a room a real centrepiece without hanging low, so it suits ceilings where a chandelier would crowd the space. All gold-tone is the warmest of the four; black or white bars with gold-tone socket sleeves draw a sharper outline; all white melts into a pale ceiling and leaves only the bulbs to read.

Centred over a bed, Hanabi spreads six soft points of light across the ceiling and lays an even glow over the bed and the floor around it. With warm globe bulbs fitted, the crossed bars read like a firework caught mid-burst.

Three slim tubular bars cross in an offset pinwheel beneath a small round canopy, never meeting at one point, which keeps the shape open and light. Each of the six ends holds a socket sleeve, gold-tone on three finishes and white on the all-white one; the frame is iron with a painted finish, not solid brass.

Close to the ceiling, easy to live with
At 20 cm (7.9 in) deep, Hanabi leaves roughly 7 ft 4 in of headroom under an 8 ft ceiling, so nothing hangs low into the room. A qualified electrician installs it, you add six bulbs (sold separately), and with the power off and the bulbs cool, a soft, dry cloth keeps the bars dusted.
