$289.00
-
A line drawn on the wall
The slim brass-finish arch and offset globes read more like a drawing than a fixture, so the wall looks dressed even when the light is off.
-
Soft light up and down
Two frosted opal globes glow a soft, even warm white and spread light up and down the wall around them.
-
Fits narrow spaces
At 36 cm (14.2 in) tall and about 14 cm (5.5 in) off the wall, it suits a hall, a bedside or the wall above a dresser.
About This Light
Hashi is the Japanese word for bridge. A slender brass-finish arch rises from a small round wall plate, curves over and drops to two frosted opal globes hung at different heights. Lit, the glass turns a soft, even warm white, and the light spreads up and down the wall around it.
At 36 cm (14.2 in) tall and 25 cm (9.8 in) wide it holds its own above a dresser or a console, beside a bed, or in a narrow hall where a ceiling light would feel like too much. The offset globes keep it from looking stiff and symmetrical; it reads more like a line drawn on the wall than a fixture.
- Size: 36 cm (14.2 in) tall, 25 cm (9.8 in) wide, about 14 cm (5.5 in) out from the wall
- Globes: two frosted opal white glass globes, each 12 cm (4.7 in) across
- Frame: iron arch and round wall plate in a brushed brass finish
- Wall plate: round, 10 cm (3.9 in) in diameter
- Light: a soft warm white glow through both globes, spreading up and down the wall
- Voltage: 90–260 V AC; works on standard US 110–120 V wiring
Installation and care: Have a qualified electrician install and connect it. Dust the arch and globes with a soft, dry cloth, and clean the glass with a damp one only when the light is off and cool.

In the Room
01
Gentle light for a narrow hall
In a hall or on a landing where a ceiling light would feel like too much, Hashi lights the wall at eye level. The globes hang at different heights, so the glow looks relaxed rather than stiff and symmetrical.
02
Brushed brass and opal glass
The arch and the 10 cm (3.9 in) round wall plate are iron in a brushed brass finish, and each 12 cm (4.7 in) globe is frosted opal white glass. Lit, the glass turns a soft, even warm white.
03
Easy to live with
Once a qualified electrician has mounted and connected it, there is nothing to set or adjust. Dust the arch and globes with a soft, dry cloth, and clean the glass with a damp one only when the light is off and cool.
