About This Light
Hashira is a small column of travertine, square or round, held a little off the wall on a slim back plate. A recessed lens in its base sends a warm white beam straight down, leaving a soft arc of light on the wall beneath while the stone above shows its natural pitting and pale banding.
At 6.3 inches tall it is an accent light rather than a room light: one beside a bed or a doorway, a pair either side of a console, or a run along a stair or corridor. The Walnut plate warms the stone; the White metal plate lets it sit quietly on a pale wall. As natural stone, each piece varies slightly in tone, pitting and banding.

Mounted above a console, Hashira throws a narrow arc of warm light down the wall, enough to lift a hallway or entry after dark without lighting the whole room. A pair, one on each side, frames the console neatly.

Travertine with its natural banding
The column is natural travertine, its pale bands and small pits left as the stone formed, so each piece differs a little in tone. It stands about 8 cm (3.1 in) off the wall on a slim back plate in walnut-toned wood or white metal.

The warm white LED is integrated and shines downward only, laying a soft arc on the wall below. A qualified electrician connects it to a wall junction box, it runs from your wall switch, and a soft, dry cloth is all the stone needs; skip water and cleaners.
