About This Light
Kivi sets a short drum of travertine on a ball-joint arm in front of a small round wood plate. The stone is a warm sand beige, pitted the way travertine naturally is, and its rim glows when the light is on while the open face sends the light wherever you turn it: down onto a book, across the pillow or up the wall.
It is a compact, quietly Japandi piece for a bedside, a reading chair or a narrow hallway. Walnut pairs a dark brown plate with a black arm; Natural Wood pairs a pale blond plate with a brass-tone arm. Because the shade is stone, every piece varies a little in tone and pitting.
