About This Light
Lys is made almost entirely of glass: a frosted opal half-dome resting on a clear glass tube, which stands on a round disc of clear glass with a faint green edge. Lit, the dome becomes an even, warm white orb, and the clear stem and base nearly disappear beneath it, so the light seems to hover above the tabletop.
The shape is compact, upright and symmetrical, a classic modern silhouette in glass and chrome. At 36 cm (14.2 in) tall it suits a nightstand, a desk or the end of a sideboard, and the chrome-finish collars catch a little of the light without adding ornament.
