Sensu is a Japanese folding fan, and the shade is folded the same way: crisp pleats of cream fabric flaring out from a small crown-shaped collar. A low, curved arm carries it out from a round wall plate. Lit, the fabric glows warm all the way round, and the pleated edge throws a fine zig-zag shadow onto the wall.
