About This Light
Trana is Swedish for crane, after the long curved neck that carries the shade. A painted iron arm rises from a round natural-wood wall plate and bends over into a downward cone, finished with a small wood ring at the top. The light gathers in a warm pool on the wall below, with the bright opening of the shade facing down.
It is a plain, well-proportioned reading light for either side of a bed, above a desk or beside a door. Choose black or white, buy one or a matched pair, and order it with a warm white bulb or without one if you have your own.

Mounted beside a lounge chair, Trana bends its cone down over the seat and lays a warm pool of light on the wall and cushion below. The painted shade and natural wood plate sit easily with linen, oak and plaster.

Natural wood against painted iron
A round natural-wood wall plate, about 10 cm (3.9 in) across, and a small wood ring on top of the shade soften the painted iron arm and cone. Choose a black or a white finish.

Runs from your wall switch
There is no switch on the fixture: a qualified electrician wires it to a wall junction box, and your existing wall switch turns it on. It takes a standard E26/E27 bulb, and a dry cloth is all it needs; keep water off the wood.
