About This Light

Tsukimi is the Japanese autumn custom of moon viewing. Here the moon is a small opal glass globe, set low on a slim gold-finish rod and hung from a fine wire, so a single soft point of light floats beside a bed or above a console. It glows a calm warm white, and the rod picks up a thin line of gold above and below it.

It is a pendant for small, deliberate places: one on each side of a bed in place of table lamps, over a hall table, or in a corner that needs a quiet light. At 50 cm (19.7 in) long and only 9 cm (3.5 in) at the globe, it adds height without taking up space.

  • Size: rod 50 cm (19.7 in) long; opal globe about 9 cm (3.5 in) across
  • Materials: metal rod and round canopy in a gold finish; white opal glass globe
  • Canopy: round, 10 cm (3.9 in) across
  • Drop: hanging wire up to 1.5 m (59 in), adjustable
  • Light: 12W warm white LED
  • Voltage: 90–260 V AC, hardwired at the ceiling; works on standard US 110–120 V wiring

Installation and care: Have a qualified electrician connect it to a ceiling junction box. Dust the rod and globe with a soft, dry cloth.

A small moon over a hall table

Over a hall table or in a corner that needs a quiet light, Tsukimi hangs a single soft point of warm light. The name means moon viewing, and the opal globe reads like a small moon on a gold line.

02

Opal glass on a gold line

The globe is white opal glass, about 9 cm (3.5 in) across, set low on a slim gold-finish metal rod 50 cm (19.7 in) long. Lit, the rod picks up a thin line of gold above and below the glow.

Set the drop, then just dust it

The hanging wire adjusts up to 1.5 m (59 in), so it can hang low beside a bed or higher over a console. A qualified electrician connects it to a ceiling junction box, and a soft, dry cloth on the rod and globe is all the care it needs.

Questions

How big is it, and how low does it hang?

The gold-finish rod is 50 cm (19.7 in) long, the opal globe about 9 cm (3.5 in) across, and the round canopy 10 cm (3.9 in). The hanging wire adjusts up to 1.5 m (59 in).

What light does it give, and is it hardwired?

A 12W LED gives a calm warm white glow. It is hardwired: have a qualified electrician connect it to a ceiling junction box. It runs on 90–260 V AC, so it works on standard US wiring.

Can I return it if it isn't right?

Yes. You have 30 days to return it, and we cover the return shipping. Orders are processed in 1-3 days and ship from our suppliers' warehouses overseas.
