About This Light
Zaru is a shallow, wide dome of hand-woven bamboo, made in two layers so the diamond lattice looks finer and denser than a single weave. Unlit, it reads as a calm, natural basket shape under the ceiling; lit, the bamboo turns warm amber and a soft lattice of light and shadow falls on the walls around it.
It sits well over a dining table, alone or in a row of two or three, and in rooms built from natural materials: plaster, linen, pale wood and stone. The black cord and round black canopy keep the line above the shade clean.
